What's So Cool About Role-Playing Games?
Role-Playing games nurture creativity, critical reasoning skills,
mathematical and artistic abilities, an appreciation for history, and other
skills useful in the real world. There's something really magical about a
group of people working together to develop a story just for the sake of the

The Fabled Worlds RPG System
Fabled Worlds is my game. It’s what I use most often when I play. Really it’s
such a quick and versatile gaming system it’s all a person would ever
need. I took inspiration from my favorite RPGs such as the classic old
school feel of
Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, the abstract combat system
from my friend Ken St. Andre's
Tunnels & Trolls, the cinematic flair and
pacing of
Risus, the unlimited reach of GURPS, and a smattering of others.
The core idea is that it shouldn't take hours to create a character, and
extra hours looking up obscure rules in stacks of expensive rulebooks
when you could be PLAYING! With its Variable Attributes Formula the
game can be as simple or as complex as you want, and it only takes a few
minutes to make a character and be off on your adventure! It's incredibly
easy to adapt for absolutely any setting you want to play in as well as to
modify the rules on the fly.

All of the offerings from Fabled Worlds Games are based on this core
system. The basic game system itself is explained in the first ten pages of
Z-Town. That’s right, the basic rules mechanics are so slick they can be
presented in just ten pages…with illustrations…in a 6x9 inch book! I do
intend to release The Fabled Worlds RPG System in its own all inclusive
book, but this is a fun sideline project of mine that I don’t want to rush.  I’m
putting out other stand-alone projects that I’m really happy with, so nobody’
s gonna be starving for fun diversions in the meantime.
Z-Town is the first Solo Adventure for The Fabled
Worlds Game System. You play the main character
in the story, keeping track of your wins, losses, loot,
etc as you go. If this wasn't cool enough, all the
rules are included in the first ten pages -that's right,
you only need the one book! Add some scratch
paper, a pencil and some regular 6 sided dice and
you're good to go! This book was inspired by the
Ziggurat Chemical Company's Zombie mythology as
featured in the Year Of The Zombie Calendar, and
In The Event Of A Zombie Attack movie. Horror
survival at its gory finest!
-Because it's a different game every time you play,
you'll likely want to try playing with a variety of
different characters. Download the

¡Uncle Cucuy's Lucha Libre! is the dice
game of Mexican Wrestling for one or more
players. In an afternoon you can build your
character into a mighty Luchador! Comes with
Ready-Made Character Cards, plus templates so
you can design your own magnificent luchador
characters! All you need to play is the rule booklet
to get you started, some six-sided dice, a pencil
and paper!

While not a role-playing game, UCLL was adapted
from the Fabled Worlds RPG mechanics to create
a fast, easy game system with a lotta personality.
Read what people are saying about the game:

"In my humble opinion Uncle Cucuy (Jeff Freels)
embodies all that is best in the modern Indy game
designing world"
                             --Ken St. Andre

"I like the looks of the game, Freels's artwork
captures that special feeling that one gets watching
a wrestling match on a small black and white TV in
El Paso, Texas."

BEAN! is an easy-to-master, rules-lite, d2 RPG
system, and the latest stand-alone title from the
Fabled Worlds RPG game system! Perfect for
introducing new players or children to the hobby,
BEAN! is also great for veteran gamers who enjoy
flexibility in their rules. Complete in one simple
volume, spend less time reading and more time
playing! The highly versatile and customizable d2
game system is unique and quickly memorized, so
simple, yet able to handle any situation on the spot,
without having to thumb through volumes of
obscure rules.

The best part? You get to toss your beans! With a
d2 dice system, you could use standard dice for
"high or low" "odd or even" rolls, you could toss
coins or any other objects that have two distinct
sides, but we recommend plain ol' beans! They're
cheap and plentiful, some people really enjoy
customizing their own beans, and a handful of
beans keeps the game moving along quick and
